I love Halloween items from this era. There's a strange quality to them that gives a sense that they were in touch with a more genuine Halloween than we have now, almost like these cards are like illustrations taken from a field guide to what they saw roaming around on October 31.
Thanks for sharing these images. There is an innocence we have lost in our blood splattered violent Halloween of today! This is about kids actually being safe going trick or treating on streets in small towns, Harvest Bazaars at schools, fun parties with apple cider and candy apples! Okay, so I'm yearning for a retro Halloween!
