I had a friend from Switzerland who explained how Christmas is conducted in Europe so I sort of understand the cultural context of these pictures, but they're still frickin' creepy... especially that first one.

Yeah...Sinterklaas and Krampus are creepier versions of the Santa legend. I think I like it better that way!

Krampus is from a different holiday tradition than Sinterklaas, though. Sinterklaas would be hanging with Zwarte Piet, a less monstrous but more politically insensitive man in blackface.
